Long Island School of the Arts APAL Program is a unique Aftercare experience. We combine quality after-school care for your child with the opportunity to take part in Performing Arts Classes and Private Instrument lessons during After school hours.

This provides children with exposure to quality instruction at a very low cost, while allowing busy families to preserve precious family time in the evenings and on weekends.

Children who choose not to participate in classes will have a stimulating and fun traditional aftercare experience. APAL kids will have snack and do homework (as per parent request). Then they may choose and activity; Sports an Playground, Quiet Time with reading and games, and Arts and Crafts. We also offer lots of fun and stimulating special events.

Performing Arts Classes are Free with paid childcare hours.

Private Lessons are held at our main site at 3 Francis Landau Place, adjacent to the Woodhull parking lot. 
Children will be walked across the street by an adult for their lessons.
Lessons incur a separate charge of $220 for ten lessons. See Private Lesson Page for details.

During APAL Aftercare we offer a variety of classes suitable for all levels of ability to expose the children to wide-ranging experiences in the arts. Classes are free of charge to children during paid aftercare hours. Class offerings change often.
